Well, I have had my first baptism on Sunday. The missionaries have been working with him for forever and he finally decided to follow Jesus. I helped him to resolve some concerns about modern day prophets. Was pretty cool. He asked Taito to get wet with him, and I gave a talk and did the prayer and helped plan everything. We met with him a couple times last week to help resolve concerns and stuff he's an awesome guy! My talk was on the restoration. It went really good. I was in front of about 30 people so not a sacrament talk but there are only like 40 people in the branch, so… haha.
People here are kind of crazy … Tuesday I met this lady, first time I met her and said she hated me and that Satan was in me. And she kept saying it and staring at me and saying I don't trust you. And she was an investigator so Taito stayed there I wanted to go. She kept saying Satan was in me and there was a dark ora about me. And then she tried to dig into my past and see what was up. I was just trying to convince her I was normal than she told me someone in my family was going to die and she begged me to call home and tell you guys I love you. She made me promise her I would call you. She kept telling me that and saying Satan had power over me and was with me. She was creeping me out. I knew no one was sick or dying… but it was still a stick in my spokes for about ten minutes. I also know that this is Gods work… She was crazy. So, I did let it roll off my back. I know and can feel that I'm constantly surrounded by angels.
Dude Dad! That's a legit lesson in priest quorum. Mom, you are so creative to combine the Laurels and the Priests for that lesson. Taito and I were talking about modesty and how it would've helped us be a more worthy priesthood holder back in the day. Sure would've been nice to have an awesome lesson like that with our young woman.
Dude that sounds like the best High Adventure!! Are you going to fit in at least one merit badge?? That'd be legit!! Seriously!
Thank you for the scripture references, mom. (2 Kings 6:16, D&C 84:88) Yea those are super cool scripture. I love that Sister Russell shared some of your favorites~! Speaking of President and Sister Russell, Sweet! How are they? Our mission needs a great spiritual recharge!
I did see the photos. They are awesome. Wow I bet they had tons of trials. They are about to go and feed The Lords army with knowledge to defeat Satan. That's rough though. Oh mom this email was awesome! I'm nervous for when the new mission president comes in and moves us around. I don't want to leave Bandon. Love it too much! The branch is awesome. They have some great members and the best missionary work ever. I heard there is going to be a big change in missionary work this upcoming year. Like no more tracting, all the pressure is going to be on the members and service. So, be prepared. Also, all of our Facebook time has been cut way back… We can be more productive! I love it. I love my new area. It's so cool here! My DL is Elder Taito :) and I love my ZL we had a legit ZTM in a park! Was soooo cool :)!
It's been like 55 degrees here. Soooo nice! I love it! It does get windy however, the sun is always out and it's cool at night and warm during the day. So legit! I saw some seals for the first time ever last p day and we chilled on the beach. I'm in a super small town and love it! We actually do a lot of walking. But it's fun!! Totally amazing! I'm sooooooo happy.
The NPL work party sounds like so much fun!! Did u dunk anyone? I miss NPL actually. I miss busy work and sweating a lot. I only sweat tons when we do yard work or service for someone.
I love it here and I love missionary work. I feel way more comfortable and try to make people feel comfortable when I talk to them and feel them about baptism. I put 4 people on date in Eugene before I left so I'm hoping they all go through.
I got new glasses! They were Taitos. He wasn't using them and they are my exact prescription so he gave them to me. Everyone in the branch says I look like Clark Kent and they are waiting for me to take off my shirt and see an big “S”. Haha :)

I will need the Garmin for sure. I love it here. It's so beautiful. Today we have already washed our car already and have done our shopping. (Super expensive price of living here.) It's a small town with no Wal-Mart’s for 40 miles. So we went to Rays and I spent 27 dollars on 5 items. We are planning on going into old town Bandon, which is like gift shop central. Then to the beach and see some cool caves if the tide is down and see all the seals. I love sea life mom. I have thought soooooooo much about sea life his past month or so. God is letting me enjoy the beauty. We also plan to go play disc golf. Which is kind of a lame sport they play here. “Grandma” is doing our laundry today for us. I feel so spoiled. She is the lady next door. We live in a duplex. And she is very sweet. Her grandson lives with her. He has tattoos and gauge's but has really made a change for the better in his life and goes to church. I actually gave him a blessing of comfort today. It was a pretty good blessing that put him in tears and made me feel good. I’m blessed to have the priesthood! Oh, grandma is a member and she makes us dinner once a week. She even cleaned our car and they mow our lawn. They are very sweet. She said she would teach me to crochet with strings or yarn. (Grandma Betty would love this). Grandpa Vern, happy birthday!
Anywho I love my family more than air!
Love,
GRIZZ 👻
