Already An Awesome Adventure!

June 2, 2014

Oh I am so excited to be going to the coast! Especially at this time of year. I can definitely feel God’s love and care for me. Everyone keeps telling me how cool and nice it is there during the summer. I'm super excited. And to be a companion to Taito! Goodness I'm excited. I'm ready for something new for sure. I'll miss the people here, but I’m ready for new scenery.  Eugene is totally changing. They are taking the sisters out. And making it full car because of how big it is. And how many hills. Ha! Funny how this happens right as I leave, but it was a hill I had to climb and it was probably God telling me a secret about life :) that there will be hills to climb. And then I will refer you to the Mormon message called “Mountains To Climb” and I feel as though I've been climbing my mountain all my life and it's finally about to level off.  The day-to-day here is ok. It's not solid work. Very flaky people. It's been super hot this past week and we have done a lot of service lately. My favorite. By the way my pants couldn't have come at a better time. We dug some fence poles for a member yesterday and I got super muddy and dirty. But I love it. Still to this day my favorite thing to see and feel is sweat on my arms and face. Makes me feel accomplished. We haven't had a member dinner in two weeks. They have all canceled. Haha. We've been on our own which is ok I guess. Thanks for the Tommy Boy insert. It was definitely my favorite part of this email. I love it. Waitress: Kitchen's closed.   Tommy: Okay, I'll just have a sugar packet or two. Hey, what’s your name?

It's funny that you would mention lighthouses and The Lower Lights, mom. A sister in our missions just sang it for us not to long ago. Is a really good song. And she sang it so pretty! But yea I've read the talk. I believe you shared it in FHE before my mission, we read it.  (The Atonement, by Elder Boyd K Packer) Lighthouses are so symbolical to many things and I'm excited to see what I can do here in Coos Bay. My new area is called Bandon. On p-day’s we hang at the beach all day! Its soooooo legit!! We are definitely coming here to ride. The dunes are sick! I'm super duper happy and excited for this fresh start. Bandon is a small town right on the beach. Seriously our apt is on the beach.

I love Elder Taito. I’m pumped!! We have a full car now! He is from Oklahoma. I love him. He was in my zone last transfer and we got along great. He loves football too.  He is one of the only polys in the mission and I get to be with him on the coast. I have a feeling this will be my favorite transfer yet!! I’ll miss Jardine.

Morning workouts are going as normal. I look at the ground and debate if I want to work out. Then I'll sit down and do about 20 push-ups and call it good. P day is good. We play basketball but it gets too competitive and people's feelings get hurt. I’m a baller here with Frisbee and basketball and football.

It’s Graduation this week? NO! That's crazy ! I can't believe I have already been out 5 months. Almost half a year. How flippen crazy is that. I feel new still. Really new.

I bet Dallin’s Eagle Project was no easy task. How far did you have to hike to it? Great job on the service! Proud of my dad and bro’s!

Dad, I am so glad you like the trains. Super stoked you got them. I was so worried they wouldn’t get to you but I’m glad you got them.  I’m pumped dude. I want a picture of you with the trains ?:)

Man I’m so excited to be a missionary.
