Skype
phone calls from missionaries are bitter/sweet. It is great to see Elder
Workman and to hear his voice. He made us laugh, cry, commitments and so happy! Then,
you have to say goodbye all over again.
I tried to capture our emotions on a short video. I will attach it to this letter. I feel blessed to be his mother. I know his
example blesses all of us in the Workman home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj85y1vHPSQ (Copy this URL and put it in your browser)

As
I sit here and ponder what I could possibly write about that my
family
hasn't already heard, my mind just keeps getting stuck on those
wonderful
people I do call family. So I'll start with family today.
The
family is central to the creators plan for the eternal destiny of
his
children. We are put in families because it is a place where we
can
learn and grow, where gospel truths are lived to the fullest.
where
we experience the most peace and joy, and where we learn to love
one
another, and care for others. Now, real quick I will announce that
both
my parents did an amazing job. My mother teaching me all I need
to
know about the world, and how to treat others, and my father
teaching
me the importance of school, and working hard, and respecting
others.
I will announce my love for my family. I love them.. haha. I
must
say I am extremely grateful for the opportunities we have to be
eternal
as we live and keep the commandments of God. I am so excited
for
the day to come when we all get to go to the temple together with
all
our spouses and enjoy the wonderful privileges and sacred
ordinances
together as a family. I love my mom more than the words on
this
email can describe. For helping me stay involved and going in the
church
and helping me gain that knowledge of the temple. I loved
hearing
the voices of my family last night as we spoke and talked to
one
another. I know this gospel has and will continue to change my
life.
I KNOW with all my heart that this church is true. That God has
provided
a way for us to return with him. That Jesus Christ is our
Savior,
and Redeemer.
Ok
awesome. anywho if you got sick of reading that and decided to just
go
on to the next paragraph just know that I love my family. Next
off..
this week has been stressful. Walking in the rain all day long,
Touching
snakes and Brown Recluses, which is a spider, Trying to help
someone
to quit smoking is no easy task. But it is possible, and that’s
why
we keep pushing. Helping members that have just lost their job,
and
trying to find them dinners. Planning service projects and moving
people
out of a house that has never moved nor cleaned their house
and
any point in the past 5 years of living there. Teaching lessons.
Ha.
It's all so stressful. But despite all that and it's worth it over
and
over again. This message is far to important to not be heard by
everyone.
I'm
not quite sure what to say now, so I think I'll end today haha. I
am
extremely happy and grateful for this time that I get to spend
serving
others. And teaching others of Gods plan for us. I love my
family.
And I love this gospel even more. I hope y'all enjoy your week
and
find some way to serve someone else :)
