Judging.... and filling up the holes

As I look at this past week and reflect on all the experiences I've
had with all the various types of people. People who are doing drugs
at that current moment, people with sleeve tattoos, people who are
looking for money to make their rent, people who think they are rich
and have everything they need, people who don't dress or lack all
articles, people who stink and are homeless. And I have only one
thought towards all these human beings. They are all sons and
daughters of our Heavenly Father. Who am I to judge them due to their
outward appearance. And yet the thought still slips into my head. We
have been given the trait of judgement from God, but why when all were
doing is judging for bad. And that the point. We're doing it for the
bad, when we need to judge those in need. On multiple occasions i had
people tell me they hated Mormons because of how we judge them. They
said they were judged because they stinked or had dirty clothes, or
they noticed how people judged them. Brothers and sisters reading this
email why.. Why must me. I have had to refill in a hole that some
idiot dug because they judged someone for how the dressed. That is not
at all, or what we as MORMONS stand for. We are a religion based
around Jesus Christ. He is the center of our plan and why.. Because we
must always act as Christ did. Now everyone in the world, every single
one of us is born with the light of Christ in us. We have the
knowledge and can obtain this knowledge as we read our scriptures, go
to church, pray, excerzise our faith in God and keep his commandments.
Jesus cared for all the sheep in his fold, and when one was lost he
went in search of it. In Moroni 7:18-19, we are told by a prophet of
God how we must judge... "And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know
the light by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ,
see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with that same judgement
which ye judge ye shall also be judged. Wherefore, I beseech of you,
brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that
ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good
thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ." It
is my testimony to y'all's reading this that this is the trait we must
acquire. We need to join together and take care of our brothers and
sister who have fallen. Teach them to walk in the light of our lord.
Make them know you care. Shake their hands and let them know you love
them and will help them. Now homeless aren't popular in Riverton Utah
but please just be mindful of those in need. And have no harsh
judgements against them.

Ok so now after my lame rant which probably made no sense at all. I
would have to say this week has been great ! Very rainy and slow at
times but it has been great. Each week gets faster and faster. P-days
come so fast ! I feel like I prepare a talk every week for y'all's.
Haha. Na eventually the new missionary effect will die off and my
emails home will be a few short sentences. Na I'm kidding mom :) but
seriously they will probably not be so intense. If they even are
intense. Ha. I'm not sure, all I know is the gospel is true. And Jesus
loves me. I would have to say all my excitement this week came when we
went to dinner with the Y family. Yes my mind
was curious as to what the heck we were going to experience this week.
But I will say it was the food highlight of my week. The Y family is
a family we offered service for. We cut down one of their trees in
return they promised they would take us out to eat. They are neighbors
to some members in our ward named the g family. They also tagged
along in this adventure. The Y family is Buddhist and they are an
elderly couple. They took us to empire buffet. Yes that is correct.. A
Chinese buffet. Oh how luck I was that I didn't have to pick just one
foreign dish but many. It was like Panda Express on steroids. And I
love panda ! So I was happy ! And the food highlight was that I ate
frog legs. Actually really good, except if you look at them you barf
in your mouth. They taste like chicken, or chicken tastes like them,
but in the white meat are green strings and thats what gets you to the
barfing stage. DO NOT LOOK AT THEM. Anywho I also had duck and your
normal Chinese food. Muchly enjoyed and we were able to share a
message in the restaurant to the Y family. Also their was a tv so I
cheated and watched golden state take it to some poor team. I know I'm
a horrible missionary. Haha. But my highlight of missionary work was
going to eat dinner with a pro bowl hall of fame quarterback who
played his last year at the Denver broncos. Chris miller who played
for the LA rams, Atlanta falcons, Denver broncos, coached Kurt Warner
and went to the pro bowl twice was quite an awesome Mormon. He was
converted 8 years ago and we had the pleasure to eat spaghetti in his
house. We gave his wife and him a lesson on eternal marriage and
enduring love, hoping we can get them sealed in the temple. Who knows.
It was awesome tho and reminded me of my father. How lucky am I to be
raised by such an amazing dad who leads me in everything and who has
taught me all I need to know and than some. Ha I would give anything
to give my dad a hug right now, or go fix something, or show him up in
making wood benches ;) hehehe jk dad. I have already learned so much
on my mission. Each day I learn something new. I experience so many
great things. I've learned that Eugene is not fast man friendly, ya
know with all the hills and having to rise bikes. Ha ! But I love it.
I love the people even tho they are al, crazy in their own way.

We have had many great and wonderful opportunities. Ones I would of
never had unless I came out on a mission. The creator of the small
version of preach my gospel, came and gave us a 5 hr lesson. Elder
Clark of the 70. Awesome man. In fact so awesome I got some of his
spit in my face when he talked. Very vocal and awesome man. Who
inspired me to death ! Today we get to opportunity to go with a guard
of the Oregon ducks( who is Mormon ) to their locker room and tour
autzen stadium. I have driven in very nice cars, ate strange foods,
seen a neutra.. A small animal that looks like a beaver.. And I get to
wake up every morning to birds chirping, rain falling, and tall pines
out our window. I feel so lucky and blessed. I know God is looking out
for me. I can feel his arms wrap around me in my times of need. I know
with all my heart this church is true. If you don't believe me...
Watch the Mormon message.. a testimony of the Book of Mormon, by
Jeffery r holland. In fact I challenge all of you to watch it. I do t
care how many times you have seen it. Show it to your families tonight
in FHE. And than report to my mom and let her know you did so she can
report to me, and than I won't have to kill you. Hehehe. Or you can
just email me at terry.workman@myldsmail.net dad show grandma and
grandpa. :) I love you all. Sorry this email is lame but it is what it
is. Ha ! Now everyone go and have a great day ! :)

I have seriously been LOL for like 5 minutes with your story about pancakes! I even showed my comp. He LOL as well. Your so funny mommy! Mom that story is so awesome! This lady we have been teaching for three years has trouble sustaining pres. Monson. We showed her a movie and she was about to cry and said she could feel the spirit and like she needed to be baptized. It was amazing, but she still has WOW problems and tithing issues that we have to fix. I told her that story to the best of my ability and understanding and she loved it. I was happy! How cool that today marks mine and Megs Days of ’47!! lol. Well yesterday. 47 days. dang that’s almost 50!! haha. I love you so much. Thanks for being in tune with the spirit!
